CELIAC DISEASE

The only treatment for celiac disease available today is to follow a strict, lifelong, gluten-free diet. In this case, food literally is your medicine.

Even though you can find great information and resources about the gluten-free diet online, it is not going to be tailored to your unique and specific needs, based on your entire medical picture. In this case, counselling from a Registered Dietitian is strongly recommended in order to identify any nutritional deficiencies, address symptoms you may be experiencing, and confirm your adherence to the gluten-free diet.

How am I different than other nutritionists?

Not only am I a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Ontario, I also live a happy and healthy life with Celiac Disease.
